Article 6.3 of the By-laws of the chapter require that a Nominating Committee shall prepare a list of candidates for each office.  It shall consult the proposed nominees and obtain their consent to serve.  The list of candidates submitted by the Nominating Committee shall be made known to all members of the Chapter at least thirty (30) days before the annual meeting.
 
Notice is hereby given to the membership-at-large of the Washington, D.C. Chapter of the Appalachian Mountain Club that the following have been nominated to office for the 2011 operating year: Jody Inglis, Chapter Chair; Bruce Milhans, Chapter Vice-Chair; William Weber, Chapter Treasurer; Janice Guethlen, Chapter Recording Secretary. The election of officers for 2011 will be held at the Annual Meeting to be held at 5:00pm, November 7, 2010.
