| On November 12, the Young Members group spent an unseasonally warm day hiking through Catoctin Mountain Park in Thurmont, MD. Our hike started at the Visitor Center through a forested trail that led to the first vista, Hog Rock. We stopped here for a snack and photo opportunities. The trail then continued to the next overlook called Blue Ridge Summit Overlook. From here the trail took us up some steep sections to Thurmont Vista, Wolf Rock and Chimney Rock. We contemplated the size of leaves and stopped for lunch before heading back to the Visitors Center. It was the perfect way to spend one of the last warm days before winter settles in. | |||||
