The Washington, DC Chapter Young Members Committee has been relaunched to get people in their 20's and 30's involved in AMC activities. An e-mail listserv was created to allow easy communication among members, and our Yahoo Group site allows us to share pictures, files and other information. Now that we are active again we will organize activities and socials to get members out into natural areas.

As part of our effort to promote interest and involvement, we are currently working to establish relationships with the other committees in the Chapter so young members will be aware of and become involved in all that the AMC has to offer.

We encourage anyone interested in joining, to contact Julie Tasillo for details and an invitation to join the e-mail listserv.

The group also has informal monthly gatherings at local establishments in different regions of the Washington, DC area where members can meet like-minded people to socialize and make plans with. Julie Tasillo organizes these outings. Stay tuned to the listserv for upcoming events. More official Young Members trips will also be appearing in Outdoors magazine.
